Difficulty is determined by the techniques required to solve the puzzle. Here is my constructive criticism.Īs noted by others, there is no correlation between the number of givens in a puzzle and its difficulty. My guess based on the app is that you don't play much sudoku and haven't used many sudoku apps to see what might be good or bad about them. I installed the app and I must say, in its current state, I would uninstall it and not pick it up again. I'm excited to try yours out and hopefully switch to it permanently. If the app I'm using now had a premium version that I could buy to stop seeing ads, I would do that in a heartbeat because otherwise it's a really good app. I just can't stand getting completely bombarded by them. TBH though, I don't even mind ads anymore. I can practice getting better for free and I probably won't be seeing many ads since I refuse to use hints. I'm willing to pay for a decent app in order to avoid ads and I've been thinking about cracking the cryptics app, but $5 feels a little steep for something that I'm not sure that I'm committed to yet (I don't even know how to swordfish or xwing yet). I swear they weren't that bad back when I used to play it because I know there's no way I would have put up with it back then. I've been playing some free app that I already had downloaded a couple years ago but the ads are killing me. Hey thanks for this! Just recently got back into sudoku after the miracle sudoku video from cracking the cryptic made it to the front page.
